ARTMAKING IN FLORENCE
August
6 - 27, 2009
PAINTING WORKSHOP with Philippa Blair
This is a diverse Painting and Drawing Workshop open to all levels
of experience and based on original studies of the extraordinary
environment of Florence, its specific architecture, archaeology,
art and history. There will be combinations of Plein Aire field trips
into the surrounding Tuscan countryside, as well as individually
based structured exercises in studio practice. Also included are
life drawing and painting, urban landscape and experimental studies. Our
intention in this creative adventure is to build confidence in developing
a body of work exploring a fusion between painting and drawing, representation
and abstraction.
